Questions.Anything else, just ask.

Yes. A card is needed to start your first sandbox, and it is not charged then. The first 7 days are free, with up to $20 of usage. Cancel within the week and you pay nothing. Otherwise $20 is charged on day 7 and becomes that month's usage.

No. Your plan and every machine are on one subscription. Each billing month starts on the day your plan starts. That day, one invoice charges the coming month's fee and any usage past last month's credit. An upgrade is charged the same day as its own small invoice.

Dedicated is $5,000 a month, and the fee becomes $5,000 of usage credit each month, with 30% off every rate, 500 machines awake at once and swarm runs of up to 10,000 sandboxes. Custom work is included: we set up your custom IPs, security groups, Windows images and Android, scoped on an onboarding call after you start. Choosing it charges $5,000 at checkout, by card or US bank debit (ACH). Larger contracts with invoicing are by sales.

One for one. A $100 Growth plan gives you $100 of usage each month, and on Growth and Scale every rate is also discounted. The credit covers machine time and disk. Usage past the credit is billed at the same discounted rates on the same invoice. Unused credit does not roll over.

The plan fee is the fixed line. Everything else is usage: each machine's awake time, billed per second at its hourly rate, and the disk of sleeping machines per GB-month. Usage draws from your plan credit first.

Add-ons have no separate price on the usage plans yet. Warm pools are billed as the machine time their spare machines use. Dedicated hosts are set up on request.

Usage past your plan credit is billed at your plan's rates with no cap, and the dashboard shows what you have used as it happens. Your plan also limits how many machines are awake at once, and sleeping machines only pay for their disk.

At your plan's limit of machines awake at once, starting or waking another machine is refused (HTTP 429) until one sleeps or you upgrade. A swarm runs at most that many sandboxes at a time and starts the rest as others finish. Nothing is deleted: files and logins are kept.

New machines can't start and awake machines are put to sleep right away. Files are kept, and disk is still billed while we retry the card. Pay the open invoice on the billing page, or wait for a retry, and you can start machines again. Nothing is deleted.

Yes, from the billing page. Usage up to the change keeps the old plan's terms, and usage after it gets the new plan's discount. An upgrade is charged today for the rest of the month, and that amount becomes usage credit; going back up to a plan you already paid for this month costs nothing. A downgrade takes effect now with no refund: the lower discount and awake limit apply at once, and the lower fee starts at your next renewal.

Yes. Windows Desktops run Windows Server 2022 with the desktop experience, and the licence is included in the price: $0.18 an hour while awake, billed per second. A sleeping Windows desktop takes about a minute to wake.

An ephemeral sandbox with 2 vCPU and 4 GB is $0.018 an hour on Maritime, against $0.1656 on E2B, Daytona and Blaxel at list price. Boat charges the same. A persistent sandbox with 1 vCPU and 2 GB is $0.05 an hour, less than E2B, Daytona and Blaxel ($0.0828), Modal ($0.119) or Runloop ($0.158). A Windows desktop is $0.18 an hour, against $0.40 for Windows 365 for Agents. Boat, Northflank and plain cloud VMs cost less per hour than a persistent sandbox. The full comparison of 25 providers, with every source and the date it was checked, is at maritime.sh/compare.md.

Only for its disk. A sleeping persistent sandbox, desktop or phone has no compute charge; you pay per GB-month for what it keeps.
